Thought vs. clarity
May 12, 2008 by Chris
My cousin just posted a blog saying she has too much of the former, and too little of the latter.
We’re both in the exact same place that way.
And I find that the more I think, the less clear I am.

Well, I suffer the same tenancy too, and strangely some of my best moments of clarity are more ‘inspirational” then “deterministic”.
I really want to believe that clarity can be gained by thought… “focused” thought as opposed to my more common way of free association.
However, lately I have started to wonder if insight (and innovation) really is methodical and really realized through volume of effort. Or perhaps clarity is when the synapses alight just right and can strike while sleeping or in the shower and doesn’t have to be the result of serious focus.

And see…in Jay’s comment…he has way more thought than clarity. *me ducks*

@AerialPJ … I’d rather have varying margins in turn then epitomize your complete reliance on instinct.
