Gingerbread Cake
Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 heaping tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 heaping tbsp. ginger
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 3/4 sticks butter, melted
- 3/4 c. molasses
- 1 tbsp. grated orange rind
- 2 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tbsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. orange extract
- 2 eggs
- raisins (optional)
Step by step
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Combine moist ingredients.
- Mix dry and moist ingredients together.
- Bake in greased Bundt pan for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean.
- Immediately remove cake from pan.
