Macaroni and Cheese (Wyble)

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. shredded cheese
  • 2 c. macaroni
  • 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs
  • paprika

Step by step

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Begin cooking macaroni.
  • While the macaroni cooks, melt the butter.
  • When melted, remove the butter from heat and stir in flour and mustard.
  • Add milk and return to heat, stirring constantly until the sauce is smooth.
  • Add cheese and heat until melted, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine sauce and macaroni in 2-quart casserole dish, and cover with bread crumbs and paprika.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until browned.
  • Makes 4-6 servings.
