Pasta sauce

Ingredients
- 6 cans crushed tomatoes (not Rienzi; they're too chunky)
- 1½ bottle of good red wine (750mL)
- oregano
- basil
- garlic powder
- garlic
- onion
- salt
- pepper
Step by step
- Empty tomatoes into a large, non-stick pot or slow cooker.
- Chop garlic and add to pot.
- Add equal amounts oregano and basil, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in wine.
- Simmer for 4-6 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to avoid burning.
