Tater-Topped Chili Beef
Ingredients
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 2 tbsp. fat or oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2-3 tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 10 oz. package frozen mixed vegetables (partially thawed)
- 1 10 1/2 oz. can condensed tomato soup
- 1 lb. bag straight cut frozen French fries
- 1 c. shredded cheese
Step by step
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Cook onions in fat until tender.
- Add ground beef and cook until lightly browned.
- Mix in chili powder and salt.
- Add frozen vegetables.
- Separating with a fork, stir in tomato soup.
- Spoon beef mixture into a glass baking dish.
- Put frozen French fries on top.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
- Place cheese on top of French fries and bake another 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
